Hatton Gallery
Newcastle University's Hatton Gallery has been at the heart of cultural life in the North East since the early 20th century. The Hatton stages a programme of modern and contemporary art exhibitions and events including artist and curator talks and family activities. We work closely with students from Newcastle University and exhibit their work on an annual basis.

Take inspiration from our current exhibition HAPPY! curated from the Jerwood Collection by the Hatton Gallery’s young people’s group, L-INK as you get creative.
Make a charm bracelet based on Alan Davies painting ‘Fish Charm’.
Design a bright, HAPPY! postcard and send it from the gallery.
Create your own still life arrangement inspired by the paintings, then photograph it or capture it in a sketch.
