Explore Grainger Market in all its glory, including the newly opened event space, alongside foodie traders, indie shops, vintage sellers, and creative market stalls staying open into the evening. Grab a drink from the pop-up bar, enjoy delicious food from market favourites, and discover something unexpected around every corner.
What’s on:
· Generator will be bringing a pop-up music stage showcasing acoustic sets from emerging North East musicians from their Independent Artist Development programme.
· Artist Bianco Perry’s 90s-inspired mini painting workshop; paint your favourite snack in full retro style, then eat it!
· Dive into Robin Webb’s nostalgic 90s and 00s animation station, where you can get hands-on with stop motion and bring your own mini masterpiece to life.
· Swing by artists Sally Southern and Nicola Lynch NOVUM Summer Festival pop up as they bring bold print, collage, and creative chaos to Grainger Market. Design your own one-of-a-kind postcard or custom gift bag inspired by the colours, characters, and iconic energy of Newcastle.
· Have a little vintage moment with Green Croft On The Wall’s Moon Booth; climb onto a giant crescent moon, grab a prop, strike your most dramatic pose, and snap a gloriously theatrical keep sake photo.
· Drop into You Are Here: Pop-Up with Six Twenty to share your stories, pin your memories to the map, and take on a late-night photo mission around the market. Expect playful chaos, a hit of nostalgia, and plenty of curious moments as they collect voices and hidden stories for the You Are Here: NOVUM trail.
