Visit the magnificent Jacobean rooms of Bessie Surtees House. Originally constructed as two merchants' houses overlooking the River Tyne, these rooms are full of romantic history. The public rooms with their fine interiors will be open to view, with live period music to add to the atmosphere. Guides will be on hand to talk about the history of the building.
The public rooms are only accessible via a historic staircase.
