We are an independent charity, working towards a vibrant, diverse & sustainable future for Newcastle Upon Tyne’s Ouseburn Valley.
51 Lime Street, Newcastle, NE1 2PQ
2025-05-16T00:00:00+01:00 Friday Only
Open: 6-10.30pm
See the Uses and Abuses exhibition celebrating the story of the Ouseburn river and the people who live alongside it, from then to now. Try out activities inspired by the exhibition’s themes: come and look at samples through a digital microscope, go on a self-guided river trail, take part in a VR experience exploring the river’s future, and share stories in an immersive nature workshop led by Samantha Sanford and Jamie Crump, featuring a moving panorama revealing the wildlife hidden in the river.
Also, join City 6 Strings & Toon Ukes for a night of live music, good vibes, and rock ‘n’ roll! These talented community groups will be bringing greatest hits to life on guitar and ukulele —so get ready to sing along, tap your feet, and enjoy an unforgettable performance.
Love making music? They are always looking for new members! Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, come for the tunes, stay for the fun!
