The oldest purpose built Masonic Hall in Northumberland. Freemasonry is a unique membership organisation that has thrived for over 300 years. With no political or religious affiliations, we comprise members of all ages, races, religions, cultures, and backgrounds. We meet in our individual Lodges throughout the country where we have ceremonial traditions.

Open: 6-10.30pm, no wheelchair access

Purpose built in 1870 as a masonic building, this hidden gem is still busy today with masonic meetings. Come and take a look inside the Lodge Room with its masonic symbolism, impressive stained glass and ornate wooden furniture. Learn about the history of the building and ask the masons themselves the questions you have always wanted to know about freemasonry.
