Bensham Grove Community Centre (2024 details)
Bensham Grove is a beautiful and very busy, Grade ll listed voluntary Community Arts Centre in the heart of Gateshead. It is accessible and open to everyone. The house was gifted in 1919 by the Spence Watson family and is a great example of an ‘Arts and Crafts’ building.

Enjoy history tours of this grade ll listed building, have fun in the garden, and take part in tea light making and other craft activities for all ages.
Witness demonstrations of pottery throwing on the wheel and smoke firing of glass before having a go yourself. Small charge for resources.
