The Shipley will be hosting a night of crafting and creativity led by local makers and creative people, showcasing a range of creative activities that take place at the Shipley and beyond.
This will include quilting demonstrations and activities with the North East Modern Quilters; creative activities led by the members of Equal Arts; a weaving demonstration with The Weavers (6-8pm); nature-inspired creative activity delivered by volunteers from The Comfrey Project; creative environmental activities led by Dingy Butterflies around their ‘Bees of Bensham’ project; as well as activities led by the gallery staff and music from Sage Gateshead.
The Lounge area will be a dedicated quiet space available for any visitors who need a place to take time out.
