The oldest purpose built Masonic Hall in Northumberland. Freemasonry is a unique membership organisation that has thrived for over 300 years. With no political or religious affiliations, we comprise members of all ages, races, religions, cultures, and backgrounds. We meet in our individual Lodges throughout the country where we have ceremonial traditions.

Purpose built in 1870 for local freemasons, this hidden gem of a building is still busy today with lodge meetings. Come and take a look inside the Lodge Room with its masonic symbolism, impressive stained glass and ornate wooden furniture in an informal guided tour by freemasons dressed in their regalia. Questions about freemasonry in general are also very welcome.
