SOLD OUT - Guided tours at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm. Take a tour of the iconic Grade II listed Swing Bridge - a scheduled ancient monument. See the fascinating pump and engine rooms, discover the inner workings and learn about the history of this Tyneside landmark. The bridge, owned by the Port of Tyne was built by WG Armstrong and completed in 1876.

Please note: The Swing Bridge is an historic monument as well as an operational environment which is not usually open to the public therefore, visitors must be aware due to the nature of the bridge care must be taken at all times. All visitors MUST wear sensible footwear. In addition visitors must complete and send back a ‘licence to enter’ form prior to the tour – admission cannot be granted without a completed form. Children under the age of 12 are not able to participate due to Health & Safety regulations.
