Dunston Staiths is the last remaining staith on the Tyne – large structures built to transfer coal from trains to collier ships. After its closure in 1980, Dunston Staiths has become a haven for local wildlife and is part of the Tyne Derwent Way, celebrating local heritage, arts, and culture.

Dunston Staiths will open in the evening especially for The Late Shows. Views of the River Tyne from this iconic structure and its environs are stunning, and well worth seeing. The Staiths will close by 9.30pm.
