36 Lime Street, the North East’s oldest studio group, is in Newcastle’s Ouseburn Valley. This former flax mill, originally designed by John Dobson, now hosts over 50 artists, makers, and designers across five floors.

Visit the Ouseburn’s original artist studios to get a rare glimpse into the working lives of some of the region’s best-known artists. In the gallery Bethan Maddocks presents The Fallen Forest: an interactive prehistoric forest developed in collaboration with Woodhorn Museum. Explore and add your own artwork to the growing installation throughout the night. Performances include She Choir (gallery, 7.15pm) and pitch black piano recitals from Steve Luck at half hourly intervals. Hole Editions will be running their presses and printmaker Theresa Easton will have squatters in her studio helping to make a zine for Artist Union England.
