Streetwise Opera presents a special brew for all discerning lovers. “Never too late to love” is a tantalising cocktail of scenes from Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’amore and Britten’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. The perfect night-cap for the Late Shows Festival. Performances at 7, 8 and 9pm. Streetwise Opera is an award-winning charity that uses music to help people who have experienced homelessness and other members of the community make positive changes in their lives. We do this through music programmes in homeless centres and arts venues across England, and by staging critically-acclaimed opera productions starring our performers. We run weekly workshops at the Changing Lives Recovery Centre in Newcastle and at Sage Gateshead.
