Inspired by our forthcoming exhibition – a showcase of Saltwell Park Museum, which closed in 1969 - we’re going back to the Swingin’ Sixties. There’ll be retro music, fashion and creative activities, plus a bar to keep you flower powered. Style by Krista presents ‘Sixties on the Catwalk’ – a live, vintage fashion show. Grab a front row seat and get inspired for making your own 60s hat at our retro crafting station. Resident poet Joanne Clement will screen her poem-film, inspired by our surface design exhibitions and the moon landings of ’69. Talented musicians from Cardinal Hume Catholic School will be playing 60s classics guaranteed to get you singing along. Drop in throughout the evening to enjoy groovy sights, sounds and surprises.
