54. Newcastle City Library

16th May Saturday Only

Open: 7-11pm

Join us for ‘Word Play’, an evening of art, music and performance every hour. Create an interactive artwork with poet Joanne Clement, inspired by the prints of Thomas Bewick. Clement’s poetry installation ‘Polished’ speaks of and to the works of the Toon’s most famous engraver. Join ‘that poetry bloke’ Craig Bradley and see how many poems we can drop. Enjoy live performances by Arts in Partnership and hear music from Gateshead’s ‘Strings Attached’. Test your vocabulary against the Wii Scrabble Challenge, as well!
